Bethany Hempel

I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2007 (whoop!) with a B.A. in History and Russian. I spent four years in Moscow, Russia teaching English and translating. I worked for the City of Houston and U.S. Customs and Border Protection as a Russian translator before becoming a high school ESL teacher. I am currently a stay-at-home mom and live in Houston, Texas with my husband, son, and our German Shepherd.

I completed the Transcript Proofreading: Theory and Practice course in June 2019. I am here to make sure your transcripts are clean and free of errors.

My love of language, attention to details, in-depth knowledge of the English language, and the experience of proofreading thousands of pages of transcripts have equipped me to deliver quality work and the results you need.

I use “The Gregg Reference Manual ” and Margie Wakeman Wells’ “Court Reporting: Bad Grammar/Good Punctuation” for reference and the “Merriam-Webster Dictionary.” Of course, if you have a different preference, I will do my best to accommodate.
